❓Note 1: Ancient Naras Bridge.......
The bridge, which takes its name from the Naras stream, is similar in shape to the Sultan Alaeddin Bridge located near Aspendos. The height of the bridge, built on 5 arches, is 11.2 m, and the length of the smallest span is 9 m. It was built by the Seljuks in the 13th century on the continuation of the Roman Aqueduct, built in the 2nd century during the Roman Empire, across the Melas valley Side and whose remains are located near the Naras stream, near the Dikmen district in Manavgat.
❓Note 2: Ancient Aqueduct
In the 3rd century AD, Roman engineers built a reservoir and waterway system to bring water to Aspendos. The city, which was one of the important crossroads of Roman trade in Asia Minor, was also connected to the Mediterranean by a river. The first information about this now destroyed system of waterways dates back to the writings of the Roman writer Vitrius.
